La fiscalidad en España siempre suele estar en el punto de mira de la sociedad y es siempre un tema de controversia para políticos, periodistas y ex

Tax law in Spain is normally a controversial topic in the society and something to talk about between politicians, journalists and economic experts. Withouth talking about their correct or bad working, we want to let you know wich the advantages are in our system on this post.
 
In the last years, there is a profile which has grown: people who buy a property in Spain, but they have any relation to Spain. There are to different cases:
 
Impatriates: people with a tax residence abroad, but who work in Spain.
 
Expatriates: people with a tax residence in Spain, but who work abroad.
 
For these cases, there is a law which affect them: LIRPF. This law includes some tax incentives which involves a reduction in the income statement of these people.
 
People who are under these circumstances just temporarily are not affected by this law. You have to justify your situation and you will need a tax expert to guide you in this process.  
 
There are others tax advantages related to buying a house in Spain.
 
- If you are under 35 years old and you buy a house for less than 135.000 euros, you will pay a 3,5% as taxes, rather than a 8%.
 
- Buying a house to sell it in the next 5 years supposes a 2% in taxes.
 
For saling properties:
 
- If you are more than 65 years old, and you sell the house you usually live, you don`t have to pay taxes for the sale.
